16th Annual Celebrity Charity Ball

The King Power Stadium provided the perfect backdrop for the event which kick-started the New Year in style. Each year, East Midlands-based brand agency Champions (UK) plc host an event for selected clients, and this year it came in the form of a Vintage Hollywood themed ball.
Bubbly was flowing on arrival with a Champagne reception before host for the evening, comedian Dominic Holland, took to the stage. Best-known for his stints on a number of television and radio shows and as a regular panellist on Channel 5’s Wright Stuff, Dominic is a Perrier Award winning comedian, author and broadcaster. He has also written material for Lenny Henry, Harry Enfield, Clive Anderson and the late, great Bob Monkhouse.
Attending the glamorous event were Sam Bailey, William Roache MBE and Neil Back MBE as well as the Olympian famed for one of the greatest moments in Olympic history, Derek Redmond. Derek took on auctioneering duties for the evening and helped raise funds for Leicestershire charity Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. The charity care for children with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses.
As well as a three-course gourmet meal, guests were also treated to entertainment from the UK’s official number 1 tribute to Tina Turner, Totally Tina, as well as from Sing Baby Sing, an act that pays homage to The Stylistics.
