Legendary bar manager Giuliano Morandin’s award-winning team of experimental alchemists create tantalising concoctions and who all share the same passion for delivering the most delectable cocktails in the capital. One of The Bar’s most talented team members, Lucia Montanelli, recently took The Dorchester’s reputation to the next level when she represented the UK in the world final of the International Bartenders Association (IBA) annual competition in Tokyo.
Taking place between 16-21 October 2016 at The Imperial Hotel, Lucia won the gold medal in the Sparkling Cocktail Competition, edging out competitors from Taiwan and Austria. Her efforts saw her win a bronze medal in the Super Final with her Sakura Blossom cocktail which wowed the judges and added to her earlier success.
The achievement is yet another string in The Bar’s bow with
years of experience and numerous awards for their exceptionally high standards of work. Four winners of the United Kingdom Bartenders’ Guild National Cocktail Challenge have come from The Bar in the last decade.
Boasting the finest selection of spirits and wines, from independent distilleries to established names, there’s never been a better time to pay The Bar a visit.
